BUY ‘SLASHER’ HERE!

As planned and promised, ‘Slasher’ is finished and available to buy before Halloween – and it will be released on the scariest day of the year itself, hopefully giving you all something to spook yourself with! Instead of watching a slasher film, as is the ritual in my house, why not read one? I have tried to capture the brilliance of the classic slasher films from the latter part of the 20th century in writing, and I hope I have done it well. So, the book will be available on October 31st, 2016 and is only £2.99!

Last time, when I wrote my debut novel ‘BITE’, I thanked my favourite authors. This time, with this particular book, I feel it is more appropriate to thank those involved with the slasher films who inspired me to write this short story book: legends like the late, but certainly great, Wes Craven and his masterpiece ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’, where Robert Englund plays a great Freddy Krueger, John Carpenter and Debra Hill for making the ‘Grandfather’ of slasher films, ‘Halloween’, and perhaps the most memorable killer, Michael Myers, Tobe Hooper for beginning the ‘A Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ film series (however, sorry to say everyone, this is the one case where I prefer the remake to the original!), and lastly, the great man, and my favourite film-maker of all time, Alfred Hitchock and his stunning classic ‘Psycho’, which started the slasher craze long before ‘Halloween’ in 1960! I pay tribute to many of these films and also a couple of others not mentioned here in the book with small references, and I’m sure everyone will notice them.

This book is short in length and so I required less support when creating it, I have thanked my ‘backroom staff’ as usual in the book, but will do so here to:

My Dad’s Fiance Jenny, for yet again making an amazing (and chilling) front cover!

My Boyfriend Matt, who this time took up the role of editor and helped perfect my stories.

Enjoy the book! Hope it frightens you!
